.<About Accommodation>

Yubokumin is a family owned Japanese backpackers guesthouse （Youth hostel style）only 5 minutes walk to the ski lifts at Niseko Hirafu.

Yubokumin means Nomad in Japanese.

It's got Dormitory style room with home style cooking.

We respect environment and try to run Yubokumin in a green way by conserving energy and recycling etc it's our little way of giving

our children a bright future.

Yubokumin is owned and operated by Kuni and his wife Michiko and 2 sons Yu and Sora. They are all very keen skiers very well traveled

and English can be spoken a little.

And like to welcome Westerners and Japanese alike. Kuni also sometime snow boards and is a very keen motor bike rider

Yubokumin is 11( ＋3 extra ) people housed in 3 bedrooms.　( room Tibet 4＋1　room Kazakh 4＋1 room Andes　3+1 )

Each room has bunk bed and Futons(Japanese bed) . 　　Rooms don't have Bath and TV　and chair. 　　　We make only for sleep

<Booking>　

Please make booking by Email 　with the following information

When do you arrive to Hokkaido or Chitose airport?
(There are a lot of cancellations of the Chitose airport because of the snow.)

About meals ( It is possible to decide it the day before.)
We can not make dinner about first day because traffic is sometime late
But you can eat if you arrive before noon.

Dormitory or private room　（Private room is excepting busy season）　

Deposit is necessary for the reservation.

The cancellation 4 weeks ago repays the full amount.

Deposit is 1000yen / per person and per day ＋ｃommission for remittance

After I complete your reservation, the claim mail of deposit is sent from PAYPAL.
The reservation is canceled if not remitted within 48 hours.

<Cancellation>

It is a full amount on that day.

Cancel charge money \1000　until the day before for 4 weeks

As we are a small business and space is of a premium.

We would really appreciate as much notice as possible if cancellation should occur.

Yubokumin closes a couple times a year depending upon conditions.

In general we are closed between　beginning of Oct to end of Nov and beginning of May to the end of June.

< How to get to Yubokumin>

By car or bike: Take Hwy No.5 or Hwy 66 to route 343 and turn into Hirafu Ski area. Turn left at Seiko mart Yubokumin is about 200

meter on the left.

By train: Catch train from Chitose airport to Sapporo and then Kutchan JR station then take a bus to Hirafu Intersection bus stop (.Near Seicomart)
(It is not Niseko JR station or Hirafu JR station.)　 It walks from the bus stop and about　5 minutes.

By bus: in wintertime there is a direct bus service from Chitose airport and Sapporo railway JR station to the Hirafu Welcome Center bus stop.
It walks from the bus stop and about 15 minutes.

Check in 15:00 ( If you arrive before 15:00 or after 10:00. We can keep your luggage )

<Meal>

Kuni's wife Michiko cooks with love using traditional home style ingredients.

We can't make dinner and breakfast for once a week by rest,

We can't make dinner and breakfast for vegetarian

(Ｄｉｎｎｅｒ on December 30 will take a rest for the special New Year's food preparation on the New Year's Eve. )

We can't make dinner about first day because traffic is sometime late

But you can eat if you arrive before noon.

Dinner starts at 18:00 so please try to be back home by 17:30 and let us know if you are going to be late as we like to serve the meals

hot. Dinner is mainly Western style and Michiko changes a menu daily with over 20 different menus.

Breakfast is Japanese style. Breakfast is from 8:00.

Please do not eat it is not possible to get up at 8:00.

<Resort Information>

5 minutes walk to the lifts and open from 8:30 to 20:30.

We have discount lift tickets available on the arrival.

We also have information about powder and back country tours.

2 sons in our family Yu and Sora can give you tips about best place for Mogul skiing.

We can teach skiing.（￥5000/2hours）

We can organize ski and board rentals on arrival.（\1000〜\2500/per day）

<Other>

Laundry Service \300 per load including washing powder.

Skies, board and luggage can be sent in advance by carriers and we will look after them.

It is whole building no smoking.

People are invited to get together for a drink a chat or a video after dinner between 21:.30 to 23:30. It's BYO.

Yubokumin also sells　 beer, wine and Japanese spirit.

<Summer time>

Niseko is also great in summer with river rafting , hot springs and mountain biking, climb Mt. Yotei just to name a few of many activities

available.
